WE Management: a 3D website for VCA and ISO certification

Overview

For more than 20 years, WE Management has helped companies earn their VCA and ISO certification, with its own Online Management System. Smoothware built their new website: professional and calm, with interactive 3D objects, a dedicated page for every standard and top scores in Google PageSpeed.

WE Management International B.V., based in Terneuzen, is an advisory partner for certification and policy on quality, health and safety, and the environment. They guide organizations to standards such as VCA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001, in sectors ranging from construction to rail and shipping.

Their strongest asset is the Online Management System (OMS): one secure online environment where a company tracks everything the standard requires, from inspections and certificates to audits. The auditor gets temporary access to the system, so nobody has to spend weeks searching and printing.

Challenge

The old website, we-management.com, ran on WordPress with the Divi theme. This is how it looked in August 2025:

• everything sat on one long homepage, including the explanation of every standard in a single block of text
• that homepage had nine H1 headings, which makes it harder for Google to tell what the page is about
• the latest news posts dated from 2021

Solution

Smoothware built a new custom website on our own platform, Smoothie CMS, on the domain we-management.nl.

• Interactive 3D objects with Three.js. A 3D certificate sits at the top, and every pillar has its own object: a safety helmet, a seal, a shield with a lock, a ladder, gears and a clipboard. They come into view as you scroll.
• Fast, even with 3D. The 3D only loads once the page is ready, and only on devices with a real graphics chip. On other devices, or with data saver on, visitors see sharp still images. Anyone who asks for reduced motion in their settings sees the 3D without animation.
• A dedicated page for every standard. Ten standard pages: VCA, VCU, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 41001, ECM, ISM and the CO2 Performance Ladder. Each page explains who the standard is for and how the OMS helps, and six of them also answer the questions visitors ask most.
• The OMS on screen. A tour of six parts of the system, with screens from the OMS itself: dashboard, equipment and inspections, staff and certificates, registrations, documents, and audits and actions.
• Technical SEO from the ground up. One H1 per page, structured data for FAQs, breadcrumbs and company details, a sitemap, and we-management.com redirects to we-management.nl. More about our approach: SEO.
• One clear next step. Every page says "Plan a free introduction", and the client login goes straight to the OMS at online-ms.io.

Results

Measured with Google PageSpeed Insights on October 8, 2026:

• 98 for performance on mobile and 97 on desktop
• 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO, on mobile and desktop
• the main image is on screen within 1.7 seconds on mobile and 0.5 seconds on desktop
• the page does not shift while loading
• 16 pages, 10 of them standard pages, where the standards used to share one block on the homepage

Conclusion

WE Management now has a website that matches their system: modern, fast and clear for every standard. The 3D objects make the site stand out in a market where that rarely happens, without costing any speed.
